A BUSINESS PROBLEM / Create an identity for a wildlife lodge.
A DESIGN SOLUTION / Discovering that the word Inyathi meant buffalo but the lodge itself did not have such animals; it was a natural decision not to promote a logo with an animal in it. Having seen the lodge first-hand was extremely advantageous as it had been decorated largely with patterns; from rugs, furniture, lamps; patterns were a major factor. The logo was kept to a minimum of typography and the use of patterns were taken advantage of to represent the overall feel of the lodge.
